Available for purchase are 30 seeds from my Hollyhocks parent plants, pastel mix. Raise butterflies! This is a valuable host plant for the Painted Lady Butterfly, in or out of bloom. The flowers are numerous on tall stalks. Most have been a light pink blush with yellow eye, but there are a variety of blush, lavender, yellow, and white. This is a biennial, which grows foliage the first year and blooms the second. They do reproduce well, once established, and even re-seed themselve if left to naturalize. They prefer a sunny site with extra moisture, but have been drought tolerant in my yard. I believe the "strong shall survive" in my garden. You will appreciate my motto!
