Available for purchase are 30 seeds from a beautiful Penstemon Beard-Tongue, Husker Red. They are a butterfly host plant for some growing caterpillars. This is a beautiful perennial and a landscape favorite. They bloom a long season from spring through summer with spikes of white, snapdragon-like flowers on burgundy stalks over burgundy-red and green foliage, attracting hummingbirds and bumblebees. Dead-head for repeated blooming, or leave seed-heads for winter interest and naturalizing. They thrive well in poor, dry, well-drained soil. I do not need to water mine, they are very drought tolerant. They are reliable bloomers and reproduce well, giving you years of enjoyment. They are very hardy and very little care is needed. I believe the "strong shall survive" in my garden. You will appreciate my motto!
